They required something in keeping with the age and character of the cottage but also in fitting with the new inside style and décor.
We agreed upon a traditional refectory table in solid pippy English Oak with plenty of character but maintaining a clean line look rather than the more traditional rustic age approach.
The extending refectory table seats 8 formally, with the extension leafs brings the number of seat placings to 12.
The extending refectory table arms are integral to the table base, so can be pushed into the base when not in use. The extension leafs can be stored separately.
One particular challenge was to maintain the light pale colour of the Oak chosen for the project which was required by the client. To achieve this, a clear hard wax oil was used as the finishing product, completed by a natural hard beeswax.
Wood & Character: Clean Pippy Oak.

Tabletop Finish: Natural hard wax oil.
Leg Design: Stop-chamfered.
