This clients brief was for a single live edge single slab, measuring 500cm x 100cm/85cm. They didn’t mind what species of timber only that it must have ‘wow factor’. Time also wasn’t an issue as they were willing to wait for the right piece and would totally rely on my judgement.
So, after approximately 6 months of looking I received a call from English Woodland Timber saying they had just received some exotic timber boards and would I like to take a look. I went to see for myself and was immediately ‘wowed’.
Photo of the slab were emailed to the client, who did not hesitate to give me the thumbs up and the purchase was made.
The live edge dining table base was discussed for different styles in wood or metal. The metal ‘X’ shape frame and powder coating colour was subsequently chosen and the piece created.
I think you’ll agree that they have their ‘wow’ factor. Sometimes beauty is worth waiting for.
