I can honestly say it works! I personally love the mishmash of chairs highlighting the perfect family table. Forgive the cliché but it is ‘the heart of the home’. The refectory style kitchen table seats 8 and has over sized chunky square legs.
The French character Oak was finished with medium Oak oil stain followed by 2 coats of a hard wax oil.
The tabletop was created from 4 oak boards with no end cleats and no v-jointing. The top was slightly distressed with an inslave to give a worn appearance.
Wood & Character: Dark French Character Oak distressed with inshave.
Dimensions: L 240cm, W 100cm & 44mm thick.
Tabletop Finish:Medium Oak oil stain & hard wax oil finish.
Leg Design: Chunky over sized legs.
