Specifications
This commission was for a bespoke dining table with pedestal base in solid Oak with loads of character in the timber. The client requested a raw natural look to the finished project.
The brief was that the Oak should be as rustic as possible whilst still maintaining functionality, but most importantly to give the appearance of still being in a ‘raw’ state eg not having the look of a finish being applied.
For the finish, I experimented with various products and a multitude of samples being posted to the client until eventually, we hit on the perfect one!
Wood & Character: 5 Board Character Oak with raw natural look.
Dimensions: L 240cm, W 100cm & 40mm thick.
Tabletop Finish: Natural hard wax oil.
Leg Design: Pedestal Base.
