This project was for a traditionally made refectory table in a French farmhouse style that seats 8.

Specification

The clients had been looking for such a table for approximately 18 month’s, but couldn’t find anything that fitted their idea or dimensions. So after searching the web they found my site and made contact. I sent them some sketches of ideas and they were really taken with one of them which materialised into the table in the photos below.

The narrow tapered legs and lighter centre stretchers that connect the legs, give the refectory table a gentler elegant look.

The beautiful character in the solid oak top is made from 4 boards with v jointing and end cleats.

Wood & Character: Solid Character Oak

Dimensions: L 215cm, W 100cm & 40mm thick.

Tabletop Finish: Dark Oak stain finished with hard wax oil.

Leg Design: Narrow tapered legs and centre stretchers.
