Specification
The client wanted the bespoke refectory table to become the centre piece to the manor house and needed to be used to entertain and dine 16 guests.
It was of the upmost importance that the table was made in the same 15th century Tudor style of the manor house. It needed to be so authentic that King Henry V would have been happy to entertain his guest on it.
After much consultation we produced a 16 seat bespoke Tudor style long room refectory table. We also produced 16 matching pippy oak splat frame handmade chairs and a side table that converts to a serving table.
The refectory table was made from Character French Oak. It was not old Oak, but James manually aged the refectory table with the trusted and skilful use of an axe and inshave. This gives it that centuries-old look and feel to the touch. All the timber is from the same tree.
Wood & Character: 4 board Character French Oak aged with axe and inshave.
Dimensions: L 390cm, W 95cm, H 75cm & 40mm thick.
Tabletop Finish: Natural oiled finish.
