The commission is for a Handmade Oak Extending Dining Table – Seats 8 to 12 when fully extended.
The main table dimensions are 2.4m x 1.15m to seat 8 comfortably. Then with 2 removable leafs, extending to 3.3m to seat 12.
Timber used is 1st grade solid character Oak with a 40mm thick top. The extending table as classic square legs and is coloured with a Golden Oak stain and hard wax oil finish.
The top was created from 5 boards in prime character Oak with end cleats. The matching extension leaves are 450mm x 1.15m and are cut from the same boards as the main table for continuation. The leaves are stored separately from the table when not in use.
