Commission was for a bespoke handmade Oak Refectory dining table with a limed finish and lives in London. Frame chairs with pippy oak back splat and leather seats to match. This is one of many limed dining/kitchen tables that has been commissioned over the years. I think Oak, with it’s open grain takes liming very well.
The Handmade Oak Refectory Dining Table features include Inshaved and distressed surfaces to give greater contrast to the liming effect. Raised centre rail for foot rest comfort and hand carved details on the legs and centre rail.
Client (tongue in cheek) Comments:
“Beautiful table. Good enough to eat your dinner off!” Will that do? Or how about, “James has produced a wonderful handcrafted table for us. His is a highly personal service. He takes you through the process from start to finish. The result is a very natural, organic piece of furniture with a great deal of character and originality. Just what we hoped for!”
