Bespoke Walnut live edge table complemented by the simple but effective tapered mild steel metal box frame base with a 6th degree angle in towards the bottom of the frame and then given an anthracite painted finish that would complement the existing furniture.
The table seats 6 people comfortably and 8 friendly.
The soft bark on the live edge was removed until the solid sap line was exposed.
The clients brief was for the most natural finish possible, allowing the beauty and character of the Walnut grain to shine through without being too ‘glossy’. This was achieved by firstly hand sanding the table top then sealing it with two coats of a hard wax oil and then buffed to give a slight sheen.
Wood & Character: 2 bookmatched boards in English Walnut.
Dimensions: L 180cm, W 90cm & 38mm thick.
